
Paul Marcus, Managing Principal
Paul is the Founder and CEO of Marcus Partners. Over the last 30 years, Paul has been involved in the ownership of more than eleven million square feet of office, medical office, biomedical, retail and residential properties, 2,000 hotel rooms and numerous mixed-use developments.In 2009 Paul launched Marcus Capital Partners Fund I, a $250M commingled, value-added real estate investment fund focused on the acquisition of real estate and real estate related assets in major East Coast markets. Paul is a very strong proponent of value investing.
Paul's community service work includes active involvement with the Trust Board of Children's Hospital Boston where he is a founder of the Children's Hospital Developmental Medicine Center Philanthropic Leadership Council. He is a founding member of The 484 Phi Alpha Foundation, an educational foundation, and is on the visiting committee of MIT's Brain & Cognitive Science Department.
In 2006, Paul and his wife, Anne, founded the Boston-based Autism Consortium, which facilitates broad based collaboration and funds clinical innovation and research in Autism and other brain disorders.
Paul holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

David Fiore, Principal
David directs the firm's investment activities in New York Metro region and has over 30 years experience in the aquisition, leasing, management, development, construction and design of commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Marcus Partners, David served as Senior Vice President of Davis Marcus Partners for 11 years where he has been responsible for acquisitions, development, leasing and overseeing property management for the Connecticut office. He also served as a Managing Partner of Philip Johnson, Ritchie and Fiore Architects in NYC where he practiced architecture for 17 years.
David serves as a Trustee for the Westport Country Playhouse, on the Westport Downtown Merchants Association Board of Governors and on the Vestry Capital Campaign leadership council at Christ & Holy Trinity Church in Westport, CT.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Penn State University.
David Keiran, Principal
David serves as the firm's Chief Financial Officer and Director of Investor Relations.
Prior to joining Marcus Partners, David served for 9 years at New Boston Real Estate Investment Funds, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Investor Relations where he was responsible for raising capital and investor servicing. Prior to New Boston, David served for 12 years at TA Associates Realty where he held a variety of positions including Partner, Controller and Asset Manager.
David's other experience includes Price Waterhouse where he served in the audit group specializing in real estate, banking and investment company audits.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University and a Masters in Business Administration from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University.
J. Mark Stroud, Principal
Mark directs the firm's investment activities in the Southeast region.
Mark has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience in the areas of valuation, management, leasing, brokerage, acquisitions, dispositions, development and valuation.
Prior to joining Marcus Partners, Mark served as President of the Florida Region for Davis Marcus Partners and Chief Operating Officer for Osprey Management Company, LLC. Mark's other experiences includes serving as President/CEO of Echelon Real Estate Services, LLC and as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate for Echelon International, a NYSE traded real estate development company.
Mark currently serves on the All Children's Hospital Health Systems Board and is Chairman of the Construction Task Force.
A licensed Real Estate Broker and a certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the state of Florida, Mark also holds the MAI and CCIM designations awarded by the Appraisal Institute and Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Florida State University.
Kyle O'Connor, Principal
Kyle directs the firm's investment activities in the Mid-Atlantic region.Prior to joining Marcus Partners, Kyle served as a Director for AEW Capital Management LP's AEW Partners Funds directing the acquisition, asset management and business plan execution for office, mixed-use, distressed residential land and distressed debt assets.
Kyle also served for 11 years at Metzler North America, in several positions including Managing Director, Investments. He also directed the acquisition / disposition of more than $4 billion of commercial properties and provided strategic portfolio direction.
Kyle's other experience includes development management and asset management work for Metzler North America.
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington State University and a certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington.
William McAvoy, Principal
Bill directs the firm's investment activities in the New England region.
Prior to joining Marcus Partners, Bill served as Chief Investment Officer at Davis Marcus Partners acquiring in excess of $200 million of property.
Bill also served 14 years at New Boston Real Investment Funds as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Acquisitions directing the acquisition of more than $1.2 billion of residential and commercial properties while also providing strategic portfolio direction.
A certified Public Accountant, Mr. McAvoy received his Masters Degree in Accounting from New York University and his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Peter Scoba, Principal
Peter directs the firm's project management and construction activities and has over 30 years experience in project management for the development and construction of commercial real estate.Prior to joining the Marcus Partners, Peter was Senior Vice President of Construction and Development at Davis Marcus Partners. Peter was also responsible for tenant and base building improvements for International Place, a 1.7 million sq. ft development of the Chiofaro Company.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and a Master's Degree in Business from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
Jan Machnik, Principal
Jan directs the firm's asset management and development activities and has over 35 years of experience in the asset management, development and construction of real estate.
Prior to joining Marcus Partners Jan was Senior Vice President at Davis Marcus Partners where he served as Director of Development for 14 years. Previously he owned his own development management business, prior to which, he worked for The Beacon Companies where he developed over 3,000 hotel rooms.
Jan received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering-Construction Management from North Carolina State and a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering-Construction Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
