Marcus Partners Adds Highly Experienced Development & Acquisitions Execs

Danielle McLaughlin Blake, Yuri Blazar and Todd Minerley Join As Pipeline Heats Up

MARCUS PARTNERS, a real estate investment, management and development firm, has announced the addition of three seasoned executives to their team, covering Boston, New York and Washington, DC. Danielle McLaughlin Blake has been named Vice President, Development in Boston; Yuri Blazar has been named Vice President, Development covering Washington DC and Todd Minerley has been named Senior Vice President, Acquisitions in the company’s New York region office. These significant hires come as the company has announced key projects in the pipeline for each market, along with a strategic plan for acquisitions for Fund III, a $360 million value-add real estate fund that the firm announced closing in January 2021.

“This infusion of new talent to our team ensures that as we grow and add to our portfolio, we have the resources to execute on our key strategies at the highest levels,” said company founder and CEO Paul Marcus. “Each of these new colleagues brings extensive knowledge of their market and collectively add to our firm’s life science, multifamily and industrial expertise.”

Blake comes to Marcus’ Boston office with a wealth of life sciences expertise and will lead the development of 310 Northern Avenue in the Seaport. Most recently, she worked with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. where she was a Vice President in their Greater Boston Real Estate Development & Construction group. She worked on new development and repositioning projects within Alexandria’s Greater Boston life science and technology campuses including the delivery of 100 Binney Street. Previously, she held positions at Northstar Project & Real Estate Services and Spaulding & Slye/Jones Lang LaSalle. A graduate of Babson College, Blake is also a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter.

Blazar brings significant development experience to Marcus’ Washington DC office, where he will be leading the redevelopment of 3401 Columbia Pike into a mixed-use project, as well as pursuing new opportunities in the market. He was most recently the Managing Director of Aria Development Group’s Washington DC office and has also worked with a number of firms in the DC market including City Interests and Boston Properties. Blazar holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina and BA from the University of Virginia.

Minerley joins Marcus’ New York regional team from Venture One Real Estate in Saddle Brook, NJ. Focused on acquisitions, he will continue to execute on the firm’s strategic plan to increase industrial assets, specifically in the Metro New York region including New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Previous roles included Director of Acquisitions & Leasing for The STRO Companies and Director of Leasing at Tulfra, Inc. He began his career as a commercial real estate broker in California. Minerley graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
